The Southern Tier Admirals are proud to announce that Scott Lisko will be returning for his third season guiding the U18AAA team. Assistant coach Jesse Parker will also be returning for his third season at U18. Lisko’s staff will also include Michael Peters who is returning to STA.
Scott will be entering his 40th season coaching hockey at the elite level. He has coached in the Ontario Hockey League, as well as 20+ seasons in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League, with coaching stints in Hamilton, Stoney Creek, Grimsby, Thorold, Welland, Port Colborne, Pelham and Fort Erie. He has spent the last 10 seasons patrolling the bench at the U18AAA level in Oakville, Burlington and now Southern Tier.
The Hockey Canada High Performance 1 coach has placed as emphasis on individual player development with focus on helping players to the next level. Out of his 19 players on the 2024-25 U18AAA, he had 15 players sign with junior hockey teams the following season.
With the changing landscape of hockey in Canada and the United States, Scott and his staff are entering into a season plan which will expose the team members to additional recruitment areas not traditionally traveled at the U18AAA level.
Developing players and exposing players to as many advancement opportunities is the number one goal of the Southern Tier U18AAA hockey program.
