NHL Debut - Tyler Angle
Windsor Spitfires graduate and former Memorial Cup champion Tyler Angle made his NHL debut with the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday at the age of 22, seeing over 10 minutes of ice and registering a shot as the Blue Jackets defeated Pittsburgh 3-2 in overtime.

Angle returned to the ice for the Jackets on Friday, scoring his first career NHL goal in a 5-2 loss to the Buffalo Sabres.

A product of Thorold, Ont., Angle played his U16 AAA hockey in the Southern Tier Admirals program before being selected by Windsor in the sixth round of the 2016 OHL Priority Selection. The 2016-17 Memorial Cup champion spent four seasons with the Spitfires, recording 61 goals, 71 assists, and 132 points over 228 games played.

Columbus’ seventh round (212th overall) pick in 2019, Angle has put up 23 points (11-12–23) in 65 games with the AHL’s Cleveland Monsters this season.
